Everyone agrees that the Rule of Law is important and that it is the bedrock of a fair and just society, "the UN describes it as :
"a principle of governance in which all persons, institutions and entities, public and private, including the State itself, are accountable to laws that are publicly promulgated, equally enforced and independently adjudicated, and which are consistent with international human rights norms and standards."
The tiny little problem is that the law has to apply to EVERYONE - without fear or favour.... because if it doesn't; you do not lave a system of justice; you have a thinly disguised dictatorship...
