This is not a gossip forum, nor is it fiction.  The source information is all here for anyone who can read and who is capable of independent thought.  

If the "thinking for yourself" bit is too difficult for you..... never mind.

Promotion and Appointments in the UN are very simple to understand;  all you need to know in advance is that two things will happen:

1. whatever the Hiring Manager does will be declared to be "procedurally correct" and
2. the person who gets the job will be the person who the Hiring Manager has either decided or been TOLD is going to get the job.... 

Everything else is window dressing. 

If you seriously believe that "whistleblowers" are protected in the United Nations - or, worse, if you are a UN staff member and you think the UN Ethics Office is going to protect YOU......  you need medical help.

Look at what they have ignored and ask yourself; what are they going to treat you any differently?

If you seriously believe that investigations are to discover the "facts" behind any allegation...  you may be in for a bit of a surprise.

If, on the other hand, you have even been on the wrong end of a UN investigation; you may find that your worst suspicions have actually been confirmed.

• Were 60,000 women and children really raped or sexually abused by UN personnel in the 10 years  that Ban Ki Moon was Secretary-General?

• What happens when the lawyers representing the Organization lie to the judge or withhold evidence?

• Did an ASG really have his hands in a  female D1's pants?

• Does the High Commissioner for Human Rights really have a degree in medicine?

• Does the UN really protect child rapists and other criminals?

• Did the new Whistleblower protection rules introduced in 2017 make any difference to anything?

• Can OIOS really seize your phone or your laptop?
